“It really can’t be described. You just have to see it.”

That sounded like a bit of a cop-out, but everybody including the artist himself kept coming back to that description of the, uh, colorful stuff made by the man who calls himself WFJJ.

For one thing, it’s very tactile, formed as it is from a variety of caulks, glues, bonding agents, and other building materials that he likes to buy at Home Depot and basically misuse. Then there are the Play-doh colors, bright and artificially cheery, evoking the sense of a child’s birthday party or a trip to the circus.

There are shapes that are recognizable, and others that just squiggle and bounce happily about. OK, a personal favorite—the big catcher’s mitt that naturally hooked up with Rare Vision’s own Big Ball o’ Tape!

World Famous has had a couple of gallery installations, but for the most part, he makes and keeps the stuff he creates in his mom’s Boca Raton garage. A storage shed a few miles away contains hundreds more of his whimsical and exuberant works that, yes, need to to be seen to be believed.
